Double Nutrient Bread
Better for your blood sugar
This bread has all the best parts of bread and tastes great too! Bread has a lot of vitamins and minerals in it. It also has fiber and is used in many of our everyday meals. If I am going to eat bread then I want to make it as healthy and tasty as possible . This bread has about double the fiber, which slows the uptake of glucose so you do not get as high of a sugar spike.
Modern bread is very processed
Most bread has very processed wheat that goes into it and even "whole grain" may only be the FDA's definition of what they think "whole grain" is. The flour you buy in the store may have been heated at high temperatures during processing and grinding, which has been shown to decrease the amount of vitamins in the wheat. Often the flour is separated and bleached and then some parts (of the wheat or vitamins) are added back into the bleached white flour.
Get Better Nutrition
In my bread you get more nutrition per calorie and fresh flour that has not been exposed to the air for weeks, months, or years. This bread has about double the nutrients. This is due to the fact that the germ and bran has mostof the nutrition and fiber and I am doubling both of them. I also let the bread rise longer which some think may help with gluten problems. I also spend a lot less money per loaf than I would if I had to buy it in the store. The only drawback I see is that it does take more time, but you could use a bread maker and this would cut down on the time it takes.

This is something that almost everyone can make and benefit from and it even saves you money! I hope you enjoy it and receive the great health benefits that comes from nutritious food. I also know that this is not for everyone, so know your body and talk to a health care professional before you change your diet. I am also looking into making a spelt version of this for those who cannot have modern wheat.
